Q: Where is the Conference held and how do I get there?
A: This year’s Conference takes place at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, located at 900 Canada Place. Please click here for a map.

Q: Where can I find day parking?
A: Click here to see nearest Sky Train Stations and Public Parking. If you are bringing your own vehicle(s), parking is available at the Vancouver Convention Centre and the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel.

Q: What if I have special needs?
A: The Vancouver Convention Centre is wheelchair accessible. Please contact Nora Cumming, Conference Manager at 250.382.3303 ext 204 or email conferencemanager@hospitality-trade.com if you have other requirements and we will do our best to meet your needs.

Conference

Q: What confirmation will I receive for my registration and when will I receive it?
A:
For registrations made online, confirmation of registration will be sent via email immediately. For fax or mail registrations, please allow two weeks for processing; confirmation of registration will be sent via email immediately upon processing. If you do not receive confirmation after 14 days, please do not hesitate to call 250.382.3303 ext 204.

Q: What is the registration deadline?
A:
Conference tickets will be available until the event is sold out. Some individual sessions have attendance limitations, so register early to avoid disappointment.

Q: Can I purchase tickets for individual sessions and/or speakers?
A:
No, passes cannot be purchased for specific sessions and/or speakers.  However, a Session Pass is available to members of one or more of the host associations (BCHA, ABLE, BCRFA, BCLCA). This pass provides entry into the concurrent sessions and the exposition on both Monday and Tuesday. No meals or keynote presentations are included..

Q: What should I wear to the Conference?
A:
People generally feel most comfortable in business attire.

A:

Trade Show

Q: Where is the Trade Show and how do I get there?
A:
The Trade Show is held at the Vancouver Convention Centre at 1055 Canada Place, adjacent to the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel.

Q: How do I register to attend the Trade Show?
A:
You can register online or register at the event. On-site registration opens at 11:00 a.m. on November 22 and 23 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Q: How long will it take to view the Trade Show?
A:
There will be over 250 exhibitors at this year’s show. Plan to spend the afternoon to visit all the exhibits.

Q: Who should attend?
A:
Managers, Purchasers & Owners from hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts, pubs, cabarets, catering companies, restaurants, beer & wine stores, golf courses, resorts, clubs, private clubs or anyone who purchases for an establishment (hotel, restaurant, bar, golf course, bed & breakfast) or has a say in the decision making process. Q: What is the Trade Show admission fee and who can attend?
A:
$20 Industry Buyers/ $50 Industry Suppliers. (See show Admission Requirements below)

Trade Only (Must be employed in the hospitality industry)
No Admittance Under 19 Years of Age
No Students and/or Servers

Q: What is your definition of a buyer or supplier?
A:
The following is how BC Hospitality Industry Conference & Exposition management classifies buyers and suppliers:

Example of a buyer: Anyone who is purchasing for an establishment (hotel, restaurant, bar, golf course, bed & breakfast) or has a say in the decision making process.

Example of a supplier: Anyone who does not work for one of the above establishments but sells to the hospitality industry. (Soliciting on the Exposition floor is prohibited).

Q: Do you require proof of trade I.D.?
A:
Proof of Trade I.D. may be required at the door; a current business card or business license is acceptable.
